indie rock is in the house tonight

this is how i cut my bleach shirt- i based it on this model. it works out well!!

lately i've started having a new obsession- i really really like indie style. i think i was influenced by a couple of my girlfriends that have started dressing this way and i've realized its really amazing! i really like indie with a mix of "street" kind of wear, holey and loose- crop tops type. 

i've looked at ideas on the web and its shirts and jeans that are really pretty and even fun to make. 

i made it my little DIY project. 

i was over at a  friends house and while she was away at a lesson i stayed with her sister, a sewing machine and some old t-shirts and we just played around!! we cut and stitched with the sewing machine, and she taught me tricks how to make holes in jeans and shirts. 

the trick is: cut a hole in your garment, and in order to pull out the string you just gently pull on them with a needle. it works so well!  on the way back home i had a huge impulse to try it myself that in a moment i was at the second hand shop near my house and buying clothing that i could "fix up". i came home and made a cut pair of short jeans that i cut and an amazing shirt using bleach!!!! the result was sooo good and ifelt proud of myself. i don't like spending money on expensive clothes, so most of my wardrobe is from the second hand shop, seriously. some people find it disgusting but i honestly dont care!!

tomorrow clauds is coming over !! they're flying in the afternoon and mum and i are going to pick them up from the airport= a long day! mum is pushing me to go to sleep but i don't know when my next chance will  be of posting anything, as mirra and hugh (my friends mum and brother) will be sleeping in my room an clauds and i get the coach in the living room! it opens up into a bed, but that at least means we'll have the TV!
