okay, so the first time i even heard of this book my friend was reading it and she really advised me. this was in america, and suddenly on the flight back i was flicking through the channels when i come across the movie! the two main characters are robert pattinson and riess witherspoon- charming!
so anyway, it kinda sucked seeing the movie from the end and anyway i couldn't see anything cause it was all dark on the screen and the sun was shining too much...
anyway, today i came across it with my parents (we were settling down to watch a friday night movie) and recognizing it i decided we have to see it.
so the story sets of with a young vet who's graduating from vet school but just before he's about to do his finishing exam (literally a minute) he's called out to find out both his parents had died in a car accident. he is forced into a life on the road. you see him walking barefoot on the trail tracks when suddenly a train arrives and he manages to climb aboard. he's helped by some passengers, only to find out in the morning that he's travelling with a circus!
he manages to impress the boss (nasty person) and he's hired as the circus vet. the problem is that he falls in love with the boss' beautiful wife (riess witherspoon). together, they train rosie- the circus elephant to become the star atraction of the show, totally falling in love
the boss is mad and violent, they get rid of him and then they live happily ever after. the end/
it was nice and it was set somewhere in the far 1930's in america. nice stuff. plus- i drank a little "mozart" with my parents- spicy down da throught.
